My MenoJourney Story
I wish I could turn the clock back 20 years. I had all sorts of symptoms really but I didn't realise it back then. I think the emotional issues were the worst and I actually split up with my partner in the end and I know there are 2 sides to a story but I was pretty horrible to be around for ages. It's only recently that I've thought about it because I've just been diagnosed with a heart condition and osteoporosis. If I had gone on HRT a few years ago who knows if I would have those problems. I didn't go to the doctor because my mum told me that even if I went on HRT I'd still go through the menopause when I came off it so what was the point? Best to tough it out so I did and I feel a right mug now. (My mum died of congestive heart failure just before Covid.) I tried every supplement under the sun, Red Clover to Evening Primrose and everything in between. I spent a fortune and nothing helped. I know now that if I had gone on HRT it would probably have helped with most of my symptoms and I wouldn't have had to go through it anyway once I stopped taking it. That was just rubbish and I don't know why I listened to my Mum. I never did when I was young!
